About this tour
Galway Tour Company's 12:00 departure suits anyone who'd rather not rush out the door in the morning. The coach leaves from the Kinlay Hostel beside Eyre Square and crosses the stark limestone country of the Burren on the way south into County Clare.
At the Cliffs of Moher your entry ticket is covered, and you get a full two hours to follow the clifftop paths, look out from O'Brien's Tower and visit the visitor centre. On a clear day the views can stretch to the Aran Islands and Connemara.
Next comes a lunch stop of around 45–50 minutes in the fishing village of Doolin, followed by a stop at Ballyreen to walk out on the Burren's limestone. The return follows the Wild Atlantic Way along the edge of Galway Bay, with a photo stop on the way, and you're back in Galway at about 6:45pm.
A local driver-guide provides live commentary throughout. Food isn't included, seats aren't assigned, and the tour runs in all weather, so dress for wind and rain.
